The City of Paris has since 2019 had a Council of Europeans made up of 61 EU citizens that each year get selected by sortition. The number of seats per nationality is based on the proportion of the nationality compared to the other EU nationalities. The council can each year send one proposal to be voted on by the city council of Paris. The main function of the deliberative body is to help the city council on matters regarding Europe and European citizens in Paris.
A Council of Europeans for Aarhus would act as a permanent citizens' assembly that could help connect the many Europeans living in the city with local politics and improve their own conditions and the city. It would cement Aarhus as a European city and pioneer European integration, which would likely make it even more attractive.
